Pics above are of the steel string face of a custom combination percussive guitar. This face features a Turkish Drum and a Tabla at the upper and lower bout respectively.
Further, 20 sympathetic strings run across the body, below the main course of six steel strings.
22 Harp Strings from an independant sound-box positioned inside the body of the guitar, emerge from just below the main steel string bridge. These Harp Strings are attached to tuning pegs at the llower bout leaving adequate room for picking them.
The other side (back of the guitar under normal circumstances) is a Classical Guitar. Please see pics below.
This steel string-nylon string combination guitar seems to be a good option for those Troubadours who don't want to carry two guitars. A steel string and a classical. The guitar pictured above sounds great, expecially the classical side of it.
There are 54 strings in total on this instrument. |
